5GTR FM is a community organisation with over 50 volunteers and announcers from all areas of the community. Most members are involved for the love of it but some are also wanting to make a career in the radio industry.

Recent surveys show that almost half (47%) of listeners aged 15+ listening to community radio in an average month. * Refer to history section for full details.

5GTR supports local musicians and visiting musicians, covering local events and allowing recording artists live airplay to increase their exposure.

5GTR has seen many of its presenters move into Commerical and National Radio, demonstrating that the quality of our presentations is outstanding.

live streaming setup

01. First you need to install a copy of the program "Winamp" on your computer. This can be found at http://www.winamp.com.

02. Then simply click on the link Click here to tune in from anywhere in the world, situated in the webpage sidebar. You can tune into our broadcasts straight from your computer

 

If this link dosn't work then dont panic or be sad because now that you have Winamp on your PC, you can try a different way:

01. Go to http://www.shoutcast.com, and in the Search Box on that page, type the phrase "GTR-FM" and press Enter.

This should then bring up a list of all the radio stations around the world called 5GTR in a list. That list should contain one name - 5GTR-FM.

02. Now left click your mouse on the link and if required, choose to play in Winamp. It should start playing in Winamp over your PC.
