5GTR FM is a community organisation with over 50 volunteers and announcers from all areas of the community. Most members are involved for the love of it but some are also wanting to make a career in the radio industry.

Recent surveys show that almost half (47%) of listeners aged 15+ listening to community radio in an average month. * Refer to history section for full details.

5GTR supports local musicians and visiting musicians, covering local events and allowing recording artists live airplay to increase their exposure.

5GTR has seen many of its presenters move into Commerical and National Radio, demonstrating that the quality of our presentations is outstanding.

IT'S OUR SILVER ANNIVERSARY!

It's going to be an exciting time here at 5GTR FM - we are 25th year of broadcasting, and have great plans for this very special year. We're planning a HUGE gala event to be run sometime in September, and we invite all past and present presenters and members to come and attend. If you have volunteered for 5GTR FM for any time at all during these last 25 years, get in touch with us here at the station on (08) 8725 9833, email at admin@5gtr.net or by calling into 25 Alexander Street, Mount Gambier, leaving your contact details, and we will inform you of any updates.
 
5GTR FM is now on Facebook - why not join us there? You can keep up to date with events, and past and present volunteers and presenters. We also have a Myspace page. 5GTR is branching out to the entire web. Come visit us at any of those locations, and enjoy us everywhere.
